Eyelash Extensions

Eyelash Extensions is a popular new service that lengthens and thickens your own natural eyelashes. Lash Extensions are single strands of synthetic eyelashes that are curved to replicate a natural eyelash. They are applied to each individual natural eyelash one by one for a natural, beautiful and luscious look. Eyelash Extensions are perfect for special occasions or for day to day wear.

With proper application, meaning one synthetic eyelash applied to one natural lash the look and feel is completely natural looking and real. No one will know you have extensions. They will just think you were born with beautiful, long lashes!

When applied properly, eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your eyelashes. Everyone’s experience will differ based on day to day activities but over all touch ups should only be required every 2 to 3 weeks. A special waterproof bonding agent is used. Glue does not contain any fumes or irritants and is long lasting.

We recommend getting a touch up every 2 to 3 weeks. If you wait too long your eyelash extensions will fall out and you will require a full set. Your natural eyelashes fall off every 45 – 60 days due to the natural growth cycle and are naturally replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. Other factors such as exposure to steam or touching your eyes a lot may cause the extensions to fall sooner. A touchup is needed to fill in any lashes that fallen. Touch ups average about 45 minutes

Yes, even though mascara is not really required since the extensions actually give the illusion of wearing mascara it can be worn.. It must however only be water based mascara. DO NOT USE OIL-BASED OR WATER-PROOF MASCARA. Waterproof mascara or any type of oil based mascara can dissolve the bonding agent and shorten the life of your eyelash extensions causing them to fall sooner. Care also needs to be taken in washing off the mascara. Only use a water based eye makeup remover

Eyelash extensions are applied to the natural eyelash hairs and do not touch the skin. The application process is pain-free and relaxing that most clients fall asleep during the procedure. However, improper application by an unqualified eyelash technician can cause damage to your natural lashes. We recommend only using a Certified Eyelash Extension Specialist. We use Nova lash Platinum bond glue also comes for sensitive eyes.

The application process for lash extensions normally takes anywhere from 45 min. – 1.5 hours

Facials

Ideally, you should have these services on different days. If that isn’t possible, wait to be threaded until after the facial. Even though we use gentle products for our facials, we recommend and avoid all skin products for few hours afterward.

Generally, facials are recommended once a month. However, you can discuss your specific needs, desired outcomes and schedule with your esthetician. Also be sure to ask about our facial packages, and save when you purchase and book your regular facials in advance Brows Zone.

Our base product line for Facials is Sothys. We also have best picks from Repechage, Christine Valmy, Biomami and Dr. Jeff.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser energy is delivered through a small handpiece operated by your practitioner. The laser delivers an intense beam of light, which is absorbed by the skin and converted to heat. The heat is then absorbed by the cells being targeted, while the surrounding tissue remains unaffected. Your skin may be slightly red immediately following the procedure. This typically lasts from a few minutes to several hours after the procedure.

Laser and light-based treatments have been safely used for many years for a variety of medical and cosmetic procedures.

Treatment times may vary depending on your specific needs. For example: Upper Lip can be done in 5 to 7 mins. Full legs can take 35 to 40 mins. Hair growth is reduced after each treatment and the number of treatments required will be based on your hair color and type, body area and skin tone

Avoid excess exposure to the sun for at least two weeks before treatment. Do not bleach, pluck or wax 4 to 6 weeks before and after treatment. Wait for the tanned skin to fade before beginning treatment.

Our Laser Hair Removal Machine uses a patented Dynamic Cooling Device™ (DCD™), which prepares the skin for treatment by spraying the upper layer with a cooling burst of cryogen in adjustable durations—milliseconds before the laser pulse. DCD helps ensure that the treatments are as comfortable as they are effective. We also provide ice packs for additional comfort.

Microblading

It does not hurt as much as the thought of having 12-15 needles being pierced on the top of your skin, as our technicians will perform a numbing procedure before apply the product on to your skin. It will not hurt as much as it sounds painful but it will relatively feel like a papercut.

No, they will not look fake, as the whole process focuses on giving you natural hair like looking feather strokes. In fact it gives a natural and much fuller illusion to your sparse eyebrows.

Do not drink coffee, alcohol or energizing drinks on the day of treatment. Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Ibuprofen 24 hours before treatment. Do not take Omega 3 (fish oil) 1 week before treatment. Do not tan or have intense sun exposure 3 days before treatment.

The next day after you’ve done your microblading you will notice that the colour on your eyebrows look much darker than you expect them to be. Don’t worry! It's completely normal for that to happen. However the colour will go back to the normal state once your skin has completely healed. Somewhere around Day 5 of the healing process, you will notice a thick layer of scabbing may form, and the fine hair-strokes that were created may be hidden. You may feel like you want to start panicking and call us up, but we assure you that its completely normal since your body is trying to repair itself, hence the scabbing. It’s all apart of the healing process, and if you’ve had any other kind of tattoos in the past, it heals very similarly. Around this time you will be extremely tempted to pick or peel the scabs. DO NOT PICK OR PEEL THE SCABS! It can affect your healing very negatively. If you pick it, you could lose pigment that was deposited into the skin and could end up with a holy, patchy eyebrow. By gently rinsing the area regularly the scabs will slowly start to fall off - when they’re ready. This phase is definitely the hardest of the process. But after a week yours eyebrows would have healed better and you can finally start to see the colour and volume of your eyebrows. An Enhancement Session approximately 8 weeks after your first initial appointment is necessary in order to achieve that richness of color, achieve symmetry, and density in the shape.

Microblading is a form of a semi permanent makeup. And since the pigments are not deposited into the deep tissue like cosmetic tattoo hence it will fade over time. But it does typically last between 1-2 years depending on your skin type and the age of your skin. But however you will have to do a follow up appointment.

Avoid using soaps, or any sort of facial cleansers including facial wipes on the pigmented area, Avoid washing or having contact of water to the pigmented area. Avoid using swimming pools, or being in contact with chlorine water as it can end up damaging your skin. Avoid using Retinol-A on the processed area. Do not apply makeup or any sort of brow product on the pigmented area. NOT EVEN HYPO-ALLERGENIC products. Avoid having hot steamy showers, or saunas. Wear a hat if possible to avoid causing sun damage to the pigmented area. Do not try covering your hair with your bangs, when they start to flake off since you can end up risking the chance of infecting your skin even more.

It is normal to experience minimal swelling and tenderness right after the procedure. The healing period can vary anywhere between 7-14 days and for 1 whole month following a touch up appointment for the colour to set in.

Threading

A simple eyebrow threading can take just 5-10 minutes. The upper lip takes about 5 minutes, and a full face thread takes about 15-20 minutes. Normal regrowth happens in 2 weeks .

All areas of the face—eyebrows, lip, chin, sideburns—can be threaded, as well as the fingers or hands and toes or feet.

Threading can target individual hair, even fine hair, for a precise, sharp look. Threading can be done as soon hair grows just above the skin, whereas waxing requires the hair be at least 1/4” long before it can be removed again. Unlike waxing, threading doesn’t remove a layer of skin during the hair removal process.

The thread must be pulled taut in order to accurately and precisely remove each hair. However, the thread that touches the esthetician’s mouth never touches your face. Each piece of thread comes from a clean spool and esthetician's use several fresh pieces during the session.

Yes. However, depending on your sensitivity level, you may experience redness or minor bumps at the site, but it should subside in 10-15 minutes. In rare cases, the area may remain red for an hour or two. Depending on sensitivity of clients skin, some would use aloe vera gel to calm the skin, some clients prefer witch hazel, rubbing alcohol, tea tree gel or derma cream. Refrain from using face products that has fragrances for a few hours after threading until the area feels less sensitive.

Yes! Before you begin, let your esthetician know how you want your brows shaped and how thick or thin you’d like them. Before leaving the chair, take your time to check your brows to be sure you are happy with the results. You esthetician will be happy to make any adjustments you’d like.

Although hair can be threaded as soon as it grows just above the surface of the skin, we recommend waiting for about two weeks if you want a new or different shape to your brows. In the meantime, do not tweeze your brows, even for a touch up.

Waxing

At least 1/4” long or until it lays flat against your skin.

We don’t recommend any type of bikini or brazilian waxing while you have your period for both sanitary and comfort reasons (the skin is more sensitive during menstruation).

To keep your schedule as stress-free as possible, and to let sensitivity subside, we recommend coming in at least 48 hours before the event.

Wait at least two weeks for your hair to grow back before getting waxed. Once your hair is at least 1/4” long, or it lays flat against your skin, you’re ready for your first wax!

At Browszone we never Double Dip. Fresh honey wax, zinc oxide cream wax and hard wax that is gentle on sensitive skin is poured into individual disposable cups. with the beginning of each session, we also use rollers that are sensitized and the roller heads are thrown out after every client.

Depending on how long it takes for your hair to grow to at least 1/4” long (or until it lays flat against your skin), but the average is three to five weeks.
